Personal impression of the iPlus S5
At the time of testing the iPlus S5 robot vacuum cleaner, we were undergoing repairs, and we were able to try it in business according to the full program.
The robot did an excellent job of collecting dust and fine sawdust. He climbed under the chairs and tables, walked along all the skirting boards, leaving no chance of dust. If the robot detected a dirty area using an ultrasonic dust sensor, it performed a thorough cleaning in a spiral.
Very handy is the presence of a turbo brush in this model. In some models, it is not and garbage, especially wool, does not always end up in the garbage container. The manufacturer’s engineers did a great job by making a unique turbo brush that collects fine debris and pet hair from various surfaces in a very high quality.
They also thought out a system for cleaning long hair, threads, ropes - there are small teeth on the edges of the turbo brush compartment, which during operation reduce the possibility of winding foreign objects on the brush. Cleaning the turbo brush itself is carried out using a special device that is stored on the base of the charging base (see the Instructions, section “Regular Maintenance”).
To clean the waste bin and filters, there is a small brush that is mounted on the body of the robot vacuum cleaner, which means it will never be lost. A pretty necessary addition.
With the washing of the floor, the robot copes with a solid “5”. Many may disagree with me, saying that he does not clean the floor well, but such users would like to remind that this is a robot vacuum cleaner, it has a “polisher” function and it is not a complete washing vacuum cleaner.
Microfiber, which is attached to the floor washing tank, is made of high-quality material, the edges are well processed, so after a couple of months of active use you will not have a shaggy rag stick out and spoil the look of the laconic design of the robot. The tank is enough to thoroughly wipe the floor in a 2-room apartment.
This model has an additional device that facilitates the use of the robot - a virtual wall. It creates an invisible barrier that a robot vacuum cleaner cannot overcome. This is a very useful thing if you need to protect part of the room from visiting by a robot. Having discovered an invisible barrier, the robot turns and moves in the other direction. I really liked this addition.
Recharging the “virtual wall” takes place by connecting to the main charging base through a special plug. For this, there is a switch on the base with which the plug is removed from the base housing. It is very convenient that it does not stick out and is securely hidden. In a word, safety is provided to him.
The robot vacuum cleaner has parked at the base for recharging from the 1st time. Prior to this, robots of various companies performed this action at least from the 2nd time. Most likely this is facilitated by the presence of the “smooth running” function, during which the robot manages to adjust the route to the base.
The air purification system can work as autonomously, for example, when the robot is charging and waiting for the appointed cleaning hour, or work during direct cleaning. There is already a decision for you. There is an indicator on the case indicating the indoor air quality, an indicator of the fan speed of the module, as well as an “ionization” icon. Everything is clear and accessible. The fan speed is regulated using the button on the top panel of the module, or by the remote control.
There is another feature of this robot - a removable top cover. It can be installed both on the robot vacuum cleaner itself and on the air purification module. It protects the surface from dust and scratches and looks pretty stylish due to the corrugated surface.
A bit about the cons
Of the minuses, one can note the noise from the operation of the wheels of a robot vacuum cleaner. It is comparable to the sound of wheels on a children's inertial machine. At first it seems that the robot itself is noisy, but over time, the true cause has been revealed. I hope that the wheels will “rub in” and make less noise, otherwise the robot will work only at a time when nobody is at home.
Another minus is the bright indicator on the panel of the vacuum cleaner. Of course, the robot can be used as a night lamp in the room, it won’t be scary and dark, but it’s uncomfortable for some to sleep with such a searchlight, so don’t put the base in the bedroom.

It is thought out and concise, removed unnecessary functions for many in the form of a camera and sound, and instead of them is now a great module for air purification, which is very necessary in urban areas.
