Whatever happens in the country and the world, but people need to eat and drink every day. Including experts of Roskachestvo, who compiled a list of the best and worst product categories in terms of safety and quality. And we present it to your attention and tell you what was so dangerous about low-quality goods.
How was the test
The results of testing of all categories of food and beverages were summarized.
In each category, the number of products with a nullified rating, as well as products that deserve a high score of 4.5 and higher, was taken into account.
Then, experts calculated the percentage of safest and highest quality products from the total number of brands tested (TM). The higher this percentage, the higher the category security.
The same rule applied to dangerous categories of goods. The higher the percentage of substandard products, the worse the category.
Representatives from categories in which there are at least 17 brands are included in the final rating. If in a certain category there were not only products with the Quality Mark, but also more than three TM, whose rating was reset to zero, it was excluded from the list of safe categories.

What was found in the most dangerous products from different categories
- Cognac - obvious signs of counterfeiting. This means that many samples that underwent rigorous selection at the Laboratory of Quality, were made from non-grape alcohol.
We can say that the brandy category was not lucky at all. None of its representatives managed to earn the Quality Mark, and the rating was completely reset for 16 brands. - It turned out that such popular products as beer and tomato juice can lead to poisoning. In low-quality products from these categories, experts identified flavor components and harmful microorganisms. In addition, the Roskachestvo had questions about the quality of water treatment in these drinks.
- In the category “dairy products”, the highest quality hazard is represented by cottage cheese and butter of 82.5 percent fat content. Most often in dairy products they find such an uninvited guest as E. coli, as well as vegetable fats and antibiotics.
- Other uninvited guests settled in the cereals of poor quality - beetles, both living and already dead, hazardous chemicals (pesticides) and impurities of metals with magnetic properties.
- In salmon caviar - the worst representative of the category "fish and seafood" is often Escherichia coli, it is also Escherichia coli. Four times, Roskachestvo experts found staphylococcus bacteria in the test samples, which could cause purulent infections of various organs and tissues, as well as other pathogens.
- According to the results of a study of dangerous and safe food products conducted by Roskachestvo in 2020, it turned out that there is barbecue made from pork, dumplings and minced meat “Domashny” - Russian roulette. Hazardous meat products contain antibiotics, Escherichia coli and many harmful microorganisms.
- And even such seemingly maximally safe drying and edible salt from the “grocery” category can pose a threat to health. They may contain: E. coli, mycotoxin called Ochratoxin A, and the causative agent of potato disease.
